AGM 2024 & EXCO Election

Thursday 24 October 2024, 18:15 at Scouts Hall, Homestead Park, 87 Upper Orange Street

The agenda will include:

• Update on activities
• Update on financial position
• Approval of FY24 annual financial statements
• Watchcom integration & responsibilities
• Election of new EXCO and Chair

Nominations or volunteers for EXCO positions and that of Chair will be welcome. The current Chair, Ronel van Dijk, will be stepping down from this position.

While currently filled EXCO positions have indicated willingness to be re-elected, we urge new volunteers to please step forward for these positions or to join EXCO generally. It would be great to get into a rotation of neighbours for these positions, to spread responsibilities as well as to bring new perspectives to running OH Watch effectively. 

The Constitution requires the following EXCO positions to be filled:

• Chair – Vacant
• Treasurer – Ronel van Dijk – prepared to be re-elected
• Radios, patrols & operations – Jonny Levin – prepared to be re-elected
• License plate recognition (“LPR”) & street cameras – Craig Symington – prepared to be re-elected
• Communications – Christopher Starr – prepared to be re-elected
• Fundraising – Vacant

 

Please note that a quorum is only realised once 50 members are present, so we would greatly appreciate as many members to attend the meeting as possible.

Participation is key to a functioning neighbourhood watch. Bring a neighbour with you.
